clicker, indian creek road, heads up on this. not causing any slow downs yet, but we know if this progresses and stay out, there lingers out there, those flashing light certainly can start to slow you down, i would say, maybe more in the later 5:00 hour into the 6:00 hour, specially on a monday morning. so we have some construction, pa turnpike, northbound, between quakertown and lehigh valley. left lane block. you meat will start to slow you down specially into the 6:00 hour. construction also here 42 freeway both directions between 295 and route 544. a lot of construction, september up a date coming up in a little bit, jim, over to you. >> thanks, meisha. new this morning, crews still on the scene of fire at tire shop in philadelphia's kensington section. lots of black smoke, filled the neighborhood. good news is the fire is now under control. and there are no reported injuries. the flames broke out around 3:00 this morning, inside joel's tire shop on the 2700 block of frankford avenue. >> firefighter is recovering from a leg injury, while battling a two alarm fire in chester. it happened last night around

7:45. on the 600 block every east 22nd street. flames forced people from their homes, but no one else was hurt. no word yet on a cause. >> in other news this morning, president-elect trump's interviewed on 60 minute finally hit the airwaves. >> answer says he will have a much different demeanor than we saw during the campaign, trang do is live in the cbs-3 news center to tell us more about the interview, frank, good morning. >> good morning, rahel, jim. donald trump addressed many of the promises he made on the campaign trail and finally respond today serving reports coming in across the country, minority harrassment and intimidation of people identifying themselves as trump supporters. one of those incidents happened to african-american student at his alma matter the university of pennsylvania. >> do you want to say anything to those people? >> i would say don't do it. that's terrible. because i'm going bring this country together. >> they're harassing latinos, muslims. >> i am so saddened to hear that. and i say stop it. if it helps, i will say this.

, and i will say it right to the cameras, stop it. >> on immigration the president-elect has not abandoned his promise to build a wall along the us-mexico boarder. >> are you really going to build a wall? >> yes. >> one issue here appears to have softened on, asking for special prosecutor to interview hillary clinton over her emails. >> well, i'm going to think about it. i feel that i want to focus on jobs. i want to focus on healthcare. i want to focus on the border and i am graduation. and doing a really great immigration bill. >> and though mr. trump has plans to repeal and replace obamacare, he says, there are provisions in the law he would lining to keep. >> when you replace it, are you going to make sure that people with preconditions are still covered? >> yes, because it happens to be one of the strongest -- >> you'll keep that? >> also children living with their parent for extended period. >> you'll keep that. >> very much try and keep that. it adds costs, but it is very much something we're going to try and keep. >> he wasn't as clear on the

anti-trump protests continue across the nation and show no signs of stopping any time soon for a fifth straight day yesterday. rallies took place in other major cities including los angeles and new york. trump urged americans not to be afraid of his presidency. >> well, rad for township police and villanova university officials investigating this morning, after racially motivated attack was reported and campus. a black female student was approached thursday night by three white men, in a septa on campus yelling trump. told police one of the men knock her to the grounds and she hit her head. the naacp philadelphia champ is her partially condemning the violence. >> it is tragic and unfortunate. it is something like that what happened as a result of what is called a democratic process. >> this is just one of several racially charged acts of violence and vandalism that have happened across the region in the wake of the presidential election.

>> of people assaulted by a swarm of teenagers in center city. philadelphia police are investigating a wrath of violent attacks that took place saturday night just after 6:00 p.m. off duty detective and his wife were among the six victims assaulted by the juveniles. the 50 to 60 teens gathered at 17th and walnut before terrorized those on 16th street. >> generally pretty busy around here, i can't believe something like that would happen, especially so many people around specially on a saturday night. >> one eyewitness claims he heard a scream and then watched as teens ran through traffic, jumped on cars and started punching people along the way. police arrested two juveniles involved in the flash mob attack, and continue to search for more suspect. >> pennsauken police continue their investigation into a double shooting outside after banquet hall. two men shot sunday morning outside the regal banquet hall, 1400 block of route 73, there is no word on their conditions or what led to that shooting. >> philadelphia police continue to look for a driver after a hit-and-run in cobbs creek.

investigators say the driver hit five parked cars near hazel sunday morning, then ran from the scene. no one was hurt in that crash. >> philadelphia police continue to investigate an accident that critically injured two women in center city. investigators say both women were crossing the street near 11th and market sunday morning when a truck hit them. the driver stayed at the scene, police took him in for dui testing. >> a powerful earthquake shakes new zealand overnight, triggering a tsunami, and bringing devestation to the islands. >> the 7.8 magnitude quake epi-center was about 57 miles northeast of christ church. correspondent hena daniels has the latest. >> strong after shocks continue to shake new zealand this morning. after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck the country's island. trapping roads, demolishing businesses. >> just bloody shame. >> powerful tremors have triggered landslides. these three coast along with

>> a fireworks display in orlando, florida did not go as planned during saturday night's prime festival. one fireworks exploded on the barge in lake eola. caused it to go up in flames. thankfully no one was hurt.

>> well, if you haven't seen the supermoon yet. take a peak out your window. >> the treat hasn't been seen in decades as the moon gets up close and personal with us earth links. here's brook silva bragga. >> reporter: sky watchers across the globe look up, as earth zero earth's closest neighbor leaned a bit closer. >> big. >> supermoon, happens whenever the moon's e lip call orbit reaches its closest point at the same time there is a full moon. but there is one is specially super. >> sixty-six a years, right? >> i think 68. >> sixty-eight years. >> it will be the closest the moon has been to the earth since january of 1948, the unique opportunity to get out, admire our lovely neighbor in the sky. >> so the supermoon averages 14% larger than the smallest full moon. about 7% larger than sort after average full moon. >> the difference in the hard to see if that globe is the earth's fifth, the smallest full moon looks like. and this is a supermoon.

>> honestly if someone hadn't told me, i don't know if i would have like really known. >> but it will also be not only larger but brighter in the sky, about 30% brighter. so you might actually notice that sunday night, monday morning, monday night, that it is a little brighter outside. >> that was good news for zachary. >> i have the moon to guide me tonight. so i'm very thankful for that. >> tilts like that, from a moon this close, won't be back until 2034. brook silva bragga for cbs-3, "eyewitness news". well, here we have another live look at the full moon. this is a view from the art museum, thanks to cbs-3 photographer sean, the moon will be closest to the earth just before 6:30 this morning, so be sure to look up. >> so about an hour and 15 minutes, okay. time for everyone to head out to see it. all right, let's see katie now, tracking some showers? >> eventually we will be, skies my and clear, not even

cloud out there for many of you to get in that supermoon viewing opportunity here. but, the light of day eventually will skew that view. up with us right now, maybe during the commercial break, let's go step outside real quickly. i personally did notice how much brighter it was, so, you know, it really is just a moonlit sky for us. and certainly the city skies, also, helped to light it up out there. thirty-four, the current temperature at palmyra cove. where we are seeing at this point virtually no wind. and temperatures obviously off to pretty colds start. that's running theme. we talked about that possibility of wet weather, and it is pretty good shot for a lot to ends up with wet weather, because of this guy, combination of coastal system, which a lot of times you hear the words coastal system, and it starts to instill, you know, some fear in people. but this is really going toned up being a rain producer for us. bringing with it some beneficial rain certainly, but not necessary lay lot to really put a good dent in our rainfall deficit right now. we will talk about those and the in a second. so bracket first. this afternoon we begin to see as early as noontime clouds

building in south to north, pretty much overtake the entire side through the course through mid to late day, even as early as this evening, but specially over night. showers do become more of running theme. not everyone getting hit at the exact same time. see how it is spreading over a better portion of the area. then about this same time, tomorrow, i would say take the umbrella with you. you will see better batch of rain moving on through. and it lingers possibly even into the early afternoon, sort of rotates away from south ton ors. so mainly first half of the day the showers do arrive, but not talking about major amounts here, at most, we could see, upward of three quarters after inch, what our mod rest predict, but then you have the gfs, another one of the reliable models it, may only be a couple hundreds of an inch. so i think very much location dependent, and if you get stuck under one of the heavier pocket every rain, good thing. for now expecting sunshine everywhere, clouds building high of 61. we bottom out to 45 through the overnight, showers start

to develop, again, south to north, that will be the theme of the first half of tomorrow. there could be some heavier pockets of rain, but call it just general batch of showers. and then we do start to see the rebounds on the thermometer specially come friday. sixty-six, sunshine, to wrap up our week. meisha, over to you. >> friday looks beautiful, katie, all right. thank you so much. good morning, everyone, happy monday. what we are looking at right now, 309 between broad street and walnut. what happened was train gate was down right around in this area. so, it was down, there was no train, it was down for quite some time. we were seeing some cars drive around that area. what was happening, they believe it was a malfunctioning train gate. but when you don't know for sure, you have all of these vehicles swerving around there. that's when we can really see some myfoxphilly.com. good news is that has just now been cleared. so looking good in this area. just heads up on that, though, in case, that gate were to come down again, again, they are believing that was malfunctioning train gate. everyone was just driving around it. looking at the vine, looking good, both moving in the westbound and eastbound direction, you take this

toward the schuylkill. starting to see maybe a little bit of slow downs. we are starting to heat up just little bit. eastbound side looking good. we were not closed for construction there. delaware county 95 north at 452. take this up to the airport. looking good here, really good. won't see slow down in delaware county probably until deeper in the 6:00 hour. right now looking good there. did have accident in harleysville, since cleared, but we do still have this water main break out there carol park near drexel hill. zero six street and lansdowne avenue all lanes blocked. so, what's going to happen? you will have to take an alternate. the alternate right now media street. i'll let you know as soon as that clears. route ten shuttle bus is shuttle bussing around that, just because of the watt inch ma -- water main break. rahel, over to you. >> meisha, thank you. for look at newspaper headlines from across our region. >> in the trentonian, man lost part of his leg yesterday after hit by new jersey transit train in trenton as it arrived in the station around 12:45 in the morning. investigators still investigating and couldn't comment on why the man was on the train tracks.

up 125-13. another nail biter. but huge key here. the eagles, dusted off, ryan mathews, one every his two touchdown runs, 108 yards on the day. mattie and the falcons with a chance. but mckelvin puts it on ice, intercepting ryan. sealing huge eagles win. they win 24-15. carson wentz, and doug pederson are taking things one step at a time. >> i look at it as one and o, in the second half of the season honestly. and that was my message to the team all week. you know, we need to start one and zero in the second half of the year, and we've accomplished that goal. >> big game for us as offense, as a team, to really just pull off tight win like this. i'm obviously where we're at, half way through the sees ton get this win, to go in the plus category, huge, bunny think the biggest thing we pulled one out in the end. and we hadn't done that yet. >> you might think it is typical eagles fan from our area. but birds had at least one fan far, far away, from the delaware vale.

andrew from pole andment andrew traveled to philadelphia to see his favorite us football team take the field. andrew's love for philly sports started with the sixers, but now, he says, he bleeds green. >> before the game it was such emotions for me. during the national anthem, an emotional minute. >> andrew's got some great souvenirs from his visit to the city brotherly love, many of his favorite players posed for pictures. from one tough test to another, the eagles next sunday will head to the northwest to take on the seattle seahawks. last night, seattle battled new england in the late game. russell wilson hook up with doug baldwin for three touchdowns. simultaneously crushing my fantasy team in the process. tom brady had the patriots inside the 5-yard line in the final moments. seattle tough defense kept
